Events

Friends of the School- Friday 1st July – Own Clothes Day in lieu of an item for the Summer Fair (i.e., cakes, bottles).

The Summer Fair is on Saturday 2nd July from 1.00pm. We would be pleased to receive donations of cakes, second hand uniform, empty ice cream cartons, toys, books and fabric to make bunting. Please remember all entries for the Art Competition need to be in by Wednesday 29th June.

If you wish to have a stall, know of a friend or relation who would like a stall, please contact Sarah Geary (720526).

St Michael’s Church will be holding their annual Pet Service on Sunday 3rd July at 11.00am. Please bring your pets, large or small to be blessed.

Easter Service
Our Easter Service will be held on Friday 15th April at 9.15am at St Michael’s Church. You are all welcome to join us.

St Michael’s Church - Easter Club 2011
Easter Club will be running again this year on Thursday 21st April from 10.00am to 12noon in the school hall organised by members of St Michael’s Church. All children from Reception upwards are invited and will have the chance to enjoy a variety of Easter Activities. The club will end with a short service at approximately 11.50am which all are invited to attend. If you would like your child to take part please return the reply slips to school by Monday 11th April. There is no charge for the event.

Monday 28th March to Friday 1st April - Year 6 – Ty Gwyn
We have previously sent home a letter detailing what the children will need for their visit. If you require any further information or clarification on any point please see either, Mr Allen, Mr Wyatt or Mrs Tandy. We will be leaving school on the Monday morning at 9.30am and return on Friday by 3.00pm. The children will need a Packed Lunch to take with them on the Monday. Please can you ensure that all money for the visit is paid by Friday 25th March.

Comic Relief Day - Friday 18th March
The School Council is organising various events to raise money for Comic Relief on Friday 18th March. All pupils may come to school in their own clothes for a £1.00 forfeit. Year 6 pupils will be holding a Sponsored Bike Ride around the school. There will be a Cake Stall and a Children's Book Stall. Donations of cakes and books would be very much appreciated.

World Book Day - Thursday 3rd March
The School Council wish to hold a competition on Thursday 3rd March to recognise World Book Day. Children may bring their favourite book to school and dress up as a character from the book. There will be a prize for the best dressed pupil.

Dydd Gwyl Dewi / St David's Day - Thursday 1st March
On Tuesday 1st March we shall be celebrating St David's Day with our Eisteddfod from 1.15 pm to 2.45 pm. the children will be singing, dancing, playing instruments and reciting poetry. Traditional Welsh costume or a Welsh football/rugby top may be worn. All are welcome to join us.

Churchyardigans - Sunday 29th February
Churchyardigans are holding a "Who is God" event on Sunday 29th February from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm at St Michael's Church. Come along and bring some food to share. All welcome.
